The IIA of Arkansas Education Foundation
Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas Education Foundation is proud
to award advanced insurance education scholarships in honor of one of
the insurance industry's staunchest supporters.
Golden of Jonesboro spent most of his life involved in the insurance
business and when he passed away at the early age of 58, he was a
territory manager for Progressive Insurance. Not only was he
knowledgeable and loyal to his company, but he was known for helping
agencies, especially the smaller agencies, navigate through the
complexities of being successful in the insurance competitive
marketplace. He was twice selected as the recipient of the Association's
Field Representative of the Year Award. Sam was a huge supporter of the
Arkansas Big “I" and he served as the company representative on the
Board of the IIAA Education Foundation.
Sam Golden Memorial Scholarships will be awarded based on individual
character, career plans and leadership potential. Preference will be
given to family members and current employees of Arkansas Big I members.
